- As part of the philosophy of educating the "whole person", the IB Diploma requires that students
actively involve themselves in activities of a Creative, Action
and service (CAS) nature. Participation in activities such a
community service, drama, sports, student government, peer tutoring,
social functions, cultural events, fund raising and special interest
clubs would satisfy this requirement. R.I.S. has many opportunities
for the student.

- The time requirement is not so high as to
interfere with a students academic pogress - 150 hours over the
2 years.

- Complements academic disciplines of the curriculum.
