International Baccalaureate Results May 2000
 
This was our first exam year and we were very happy with the results. A perfect score is 45 and was obtained by 15 students around the world. Our scores for the diploma students were 40, 40, 39, 37, 29, 29, 34, 32, 32, 31, 30, 27, 25, 24, 23, 22. See below for results for each subject, which includes the certificate students. We were above the world average in 12 of the 20 subjects and our student diploma score average was 33. The May 2000 students have enrolled at the following universities: U of Melbourne (Australia), McMasters U and Carleton U (Canada), Mount Carmel College (India), Gilton Hotel School (Switzerland), National Taiwan U and Nat'l Cheng-Chi U (Taiwan), TH-BBA,TH-SIIT, Mahidol U, TH-BE, ABAC (Thailand), Sarah Lawrence C, Suffolk U, Bates C, Brandeis U, Worcester Polytechnic Inst, Furman U, Smith C, San Francisco State U, U of San Francisco, Eckerd C, Art Inst. of Seattle, Illinois Inst. of Tech, Cornell U(U.S.A). At these tertiary institutions, the following courses are being studied: Psychology, Information Systems, Pre-Medicine, Economics, Design, Hotel management, Biology, BBA, Medicine, Information Technology, Environmental Engineering, Commercial Arts Advertising, Mechanical Engineering, Law, Interior Design, Mathematics and Computer Science, International Relations, Music, Graphics Design and Aerospace Engineering. Many scholarships were won by our students but some have kept this information private. However, the IB students who did fill in the survey show that they have achieved scholarships amounting to approximately $U.S.1,000,000 for the four years.

This year we had 21 students takes the IB Diploma and 39 students take the IB certificate. The average points obtained by the diploma students was 31 with three students missing the diploma by one point. The highest mark was 40 points and the average grade was 5.04

The school average was 34/45 with a world average usually around 30. Three students scored 40 or more with the highest grade being 42. In general, the results were very good and several scholarships in the U.S were granted.

This year 125 students took the exam and 22 received diplomas. Those who received diplomas had an average score of 5.06, well above the international average. One student received a score of 40, an outstanding score.

This year, 114 students registered for IB exams with 15 students studying the full IB Diploma. The maximum mark is 45 points with 24 points being the pass mark. The average mark for R.I.S. students was 33 with 40 being the maximum mark achieved.
