This course introduces students to basic photography. Students gain skills in taking photos, critical appreciation of photography and developing and printing black and white photographs. In addition to this, they are provided with opportunities to experiment with digital photography and manipulate their own photographs using software programs such as Photoshop. Students develop an individual theme of their choice and the unit culminates in an exhibition of the students' works. We want to emphasize that you need a camera to take part in this course. As this class fills fast, preference is given to AP or IB Art students.
