7 Characteristics of Technically Literate Students
Technically
literate students use technology in seven different ways to demonstrate
understanding of the capabilities of technology. These seven ways represent
the major roles of technology in society.
The seventh characteristic may not be taught directly in school, but
should be a considering factor in a students education. All seven
of these characteristics are necessarily interrelated in the school
curriculum and society.
When assessing a students technology development, these attributes
should be the underlying principal on which the assessment rests. Questions
considering the effective use of technology should be made within the
context of these characteristics.
