On 8th May, the RIST students came for a visit at middle school. My friends and I showed them around. First, we showed them our 6th grade homerooms and core subject classes. Then we showed them the Art room, Computer Labs, Media Center, Japanese, mandarin, French, Spanish, and Band room. We also showed them some 7th and 8th grade classrooms. On Monday, the 14th of May, we went to RIST and had a pizza party with our RIST buddies and watched a video of their talent show. We tried our best to make them comfortable at MS. Thank you.
Sponsoring the Camillian Home to come to the MS Talent Show
On the 9th of May, 2012, the Middle School Council (MSC) sponsored the Camillian Home and invited them to come and watch the Middle School Talent Show. Camillan Home is a community that cares for children living with disabilities.
When the kids first arrived, we all welcomed them as they got off the minibus - it was kind of awkward at first as I didn't know what to say or if they understood English. Soon after that, we took them to room M201 where we had fizzy drinks, delicious pizza, and some refreshing popsicles from them. After everyone was finished, it was time to bring them to the PAC to watch the talent show. Some of them were quite excited while some of them didn't even know ehere they were going. As the show was going on, the kids watched with amazement. It was quite a new experience for them as I'm sure they haven't really seen such talent like this. It was 2:20pm and time had passed by so quickly, but unfortunately it was time for the kids from Camillian Home to go. We all brought them outside to their minibus and waved good-bye while they all had big smiles on their faces. What a day for the kids from Camillian Home and I'm glad that they all had a good time.
