Weekly PA team meetings are held every Wednesday (except third Wednesday) at 7:45 am in the PA Room (next to the Travis Coffee shop at Gate 8). The Coffee Talks (PA General Meetings) are held once a month—every third Wednesday of the month at 7:45 am in The Phoenix Nest. All meetings are open to every RIS parent. The weekly meetings focus on planning upcoming events.

The PA team is currently looking to fill 1 slot:

  • 1 MS Parent Representative

If you are interested and available to attend the weekly meetings, please email pa.ruamrudee2019@gmail.com or just attend the next meeting. Thank you!

On behalf of the Parent Auxiliary (PA) at Ruamrudee International School, we would like to welcome all new parents and students to our RIS family. As parents, you are automatically members of the Parent Auxiliary. Throughout the year, we help to support many events on campus, including the Mandarin and Thai classes’ special school-wide Chinese New Year and Songkran celebrations. We also support the high school by hosting IB/AP seminars for parents, college prep seminars, and contacting alumni to be guest speakers for Career Day.

In addition, we organize and host several events on campus, including these annual all-school favorites:

●     Every October/November, the PA sponsors and plans every detail of the highly anticipated International Food Fair during International Cultural Week. This is our biggest fundraising event. The parents of RIS come together to make and sell a wide range of cultural foods and products on campus on this fun-filled day that includes student performances, games, lucky draws, and incredible prizes. This is definitely one of our favorite days of the year! All the money raised is used to support the RIS community throughout the school year.

This year's International Food Fair will be on Friday, November 15th. You can sign up for the Food Fair through the new PA tile on our Schoolzine app. We will be doing a lucky draw for a FREE table at the fair. (Click here for how to download the app.) In order to ensure variety and avoid overlapping cuisine, tables will be booked on a ‘first come, first served' basis.

●     On the last day of the first semester, the PA sponsors various snacks, games, and fun activities for all of the students to enjoy before school closes for the Christmas Break.

●     All three sections have their own Games Day each year and the PA plays a huge part, not just by sponsoring all the snacks and drinks but by volunteering to be on hand to serve all the students and faculty. When not handing out sustenance, the PA members are out on the field braving the hot sun to cheer on and support all the children.

●     Every May 17th, the RIS community celebrates Foundation Day, the school’s birthday. The PA sponsors a snack or ice-cream for everyone at the school in celebration of our wonderful history and continued success as one of Thailand’s top international school in Bangkok.

The executive PA team holds monthly general meetings where parents and school administrators meet to provide feedback or share concerns, all with the goal of improving our community and our children’s education. Being a member of the PA provides a social community for its members, as well as the benefits of gaining academic insights and learning helpful tips when it comes to raising children and guiding them to reach their full potential.

We look forward to welcoming you personally to our community. We’re here to help make your family’s transition to RIS as smooth as possible. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance. We also look forward to your support in our many PA activities.

We know that you and your child(ren) will have a great time here at RIS!

Best regards,

The PA Executive Team
