VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
High School Thai Language Teacher
RIS seeks an enthusiastic and engaging High School Thai Language Teacher who will lead, inspire, and promote student learning across multiple levels. A successful candidate will be excited to teach Thai language, literature, and history to native speakers. The applicant should be knowledgeable about high school student development, subject-area content, and best practices in an inquiry-based approach, differentiation, and assessing student learning.
Additionally, the applicant should have experience with collaborative curriculum designs and be well-versed in unit development using backward planning. The applicant will collaborate with department team members, school leaders, and the curriculum coordinator to ensure that instruction meets the needs of each student.
As a language instructor, a Thai Language Teacher will deliver lessons using RIS teaching principles, focusing on students’ interests and needs, ensuring fluency in Thai, and deepening their understanding of Thai culture. NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
- ability to differentiate instruction for all learners
- prepared to be an active participant in our collaborative processes
- proven ability to develop and deliver successful academic programs
- participation in current and relevant professional development in teaching and learning
- experienced in using technology tools in teaching at a high school level
- knowledge of Google Suite would be helpful
- experienced in using standards-referenced assessment, grading, and reporting
- enthused to work in a multicultural enviroment
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Education is preferred
- Thai Teaching License
- exceptional communication skills in both English and Thai languages.
- experience working with students of different abilities in a diverse environment on a flexible schedule
