RISMUN XVIII & THAIMUN XII
Model United Nations (MUN) at RIS continues to thrive as students develop key skills in international diplomacy, public speaking, and global awareness through weekly meetings, conferences, and leadership opportunities.
This year, the MUN team successfully hosted RISMUN XVIII, welcoming nearly 300 student delegates from across Bangkok. The event was praised for its smooth organization and vibrant debates. Special thanks go to the RISMUN XVIII Secretariat: Gunn Vajirakachorn (Class of 2025), Chane Jantarawaranyoo (Class of 2025), Bogey Kunpuang (Class of 2025), Ethan Sung (Class of 2027), Ouk Uthaititpitak (Class of 2027), and Bene Puengchanchaikul (Class of 2026), along with MUN Directors Mr. Skylar LePoidevin and Mr. Olivier Fernandez.
RIS also played a leading role at THAIMUN XII, one of the world’s largest MUN conferences. Gunn Vajirakachorn (Class of 2025) and Laura Wang
(Class of 2026) served as Secretary-Generals, overseeing the three-day event that brought together nearly 800 participants from 10 countries. Additionally, six RIS students served as committee chairs, with Bogey Kunpuang (Class of 2025), Tony Xu (Class of 2026), and Ouk Uthaititpitak
(Class of 2027) earning Chair Awards for their excellence in leadership and facilitation.
With continued participation in local, regional, and international conferences, RIS MUN remains a dynamic platform for students passionate about global affairs and collaborative problem-solving.
