2026 Spring Performances

Remembering a Season of Artistic Excellence

In a heartwarming display of creativity and community spirit, RIS’s Performing Arts Department brought together students of all ages for a semester filled with music, theater, and shared artistic experiences. From our Kindergarten performers taking their first steps on stage to our secondary students tackling ambitious productions, each performance in this second semester of the 2025-26 academic year reflected our students’ journey of growth and discovery through the arts. These events not only showcased developing talents but also strengthened the bonds within our school community, creating lasting memories for performers and audiences alike.

The annual Tri-M Music Honor Society Showcase, Candle Lights & Cadence, offered an intimate evening of live music performed by some of RIS’s most dedicated student musicians. Set in the warm atmosphere of The Nest, the showcase featured a diverse selection of vocal and instrumental performances that highlighted both individual artistry and collaborative musicianship. More than a concert, the event celebrated leadership, service, and a shared passion for music within the RIS community.

2026 Chinese Lunar New Year Assembly

RIS students and staff welcomed the Year of the Horse with a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration filled with music, dance, and cultural traditions. Featuring colorful costumes, festive performances, and student presentations from across the school, the assembly celebrated the richness of Chinese culture while bringing the community together to share wishes for good fortune, happiness, and prosperity in the year ahead.

2026 International Week Cultural Show

As part of International Week, students proudly celebrated the many cultures that make up the RIS community through an energetic showcase of dance, music, traditional dress, and storytelling. Each performance reflected the unique heritage and traditions represented on campus, creating a colorful celebration of diversity, inclusion, and global understanding that has become one of the highlights of the school year.

Disney’s Frozen Jr.

The beloved story of sisterhood, courage, and self-discovery came to life as RIS students presented Disney’s Frozen Jr. Through memorable songs, imaginative staging, vibrant costumes, and heartfelt performances, the cast transported audiences to the magical kingdom of Arendelle. The production showcased months of dedication from performers, musicians, stage crew, and production teams, highlighting the creativity and collaboration that define the RIS theatre program.

2026 Elementary School Star Kids

The annual Star Kids showcase once again gave RIS’s youngest performers an opportunity to shine on stage. Filled with singing, dancing, and theatrical performances, the event celebrated creativity, confidence, and self-expression while allowing students to share their talents with proud families, teachers, and friends. It was a joyful reminder that every great performer begins with the courage to take that very first step onto the stage.

2026 All-School Easter Assembly

The RIS community gathered for a meaningful Easter Assembly celebrating the themes of hope, renewal, and compassion. Through scripture readings, music, prayer, and student reflections, the assembly encouraged students to reflect on the values at the heart of the Easter season while reinforcing the school’s Catholic identity and its commitment to faith, service, and community.

2026 High School Spring Concert: “Journeys in Sound”

Under the theme “Journeys in Sound,” the RIS High School Band presented an inspiring evening of music that reflected the growth and dedication of its student musicians. Featuring a varied repertoire that ranged from contemporary works to concert band classics, the performance demonstrated impressive technical skill, expressive artistry, and the collaborative spirit developed throughout the school year.

2026 HS Choir Spring Concert: “Come Together – Voices, Stories, Legacy”

The High School Choir concluded its performance season with Come Together – Voices, Stories, Legacy, an evening that celebrated music’s ability to connect generations and communities. Through expressive choral performances spanning a variety of musical styles, students shared stories of friendship, perseverance, and growth. The concert concluded with an especially heartfelt farewell as graduating seniors performed together one final time, creating a memorable and emotional finale to their RIS performing arts journey.

2026 All-School Songkran Assembly

Students and staff celebrated the Thai New Year with a vibrant Songkran Assembly honoring one of Thailand’s most cherished traditions. Through traditional dance, cultural performances, and the symbolic water-pouring ceremony, the RIS community reflected on the values of gratitude, respect, and renewal while embracing the rich heritage of Thai culture together.

2026 ES Musical – ‘Disney Moana Jr.’

For the first time in more than a decade, RIS Elementary School students returned to the stage with a full-scale musical production, bringing Disney’s Moana Jr. to life across three performances. Featuring more than 200 students from Grades 3–5, the production marked the exciting revival of a cherished elementary theatre tradition. Months of rehearsals allowed students to develop their skills in acting, singing, dancing, and collaboration while creating an unforgettable experience for performers and audiences alike. More than a musical, Moana Jr. celebrated courage, teamwork, and the joy of discovering one’s own voice.
