A 2026 RIS Ruamrudee Performing Arts Showcase

March 2026 was an especially vibrant month for performing arts at RIS Ruamrudee International School, as students across all divisions took part in a series of local, regional, and international music events.

As an integral part of the RIS curriculum, the arts provide students with opportunities to develop creativity, imagination, and self-expression through music, theater, dance, and visual arts. Throughout the month, this commitment was brought to life through meaningful experiences in collaboration, performance, and global engagement.

Early Foundations: AMIS Junior Honor Choir (Singapore)

Community in Harmony: Bring Your Teacher to Choir Day

📍 March 10, RIS Ruamrudee International School

Vivace Honors Choir hosted its 2nd annual “Bring Your Teacher to Choir Day,” inviting teachers to join students in a joyful and creative music-making experience.

The session featured familiar music by The Beatles, beginning with a group warm-up before moving into collaborative singing. Students shared customized lyrics written especially for their teachers, and together, participants created and performed their own verses.

The event captured a spirit of connection, playfulness, and community—highlighting the joy of making music together beyond the traditional classroom setting.

A Milestone Debut: SEASAC Music Festival (Singapore)

📍 March 12–15, Singapore

RIS marked an exciting milestone with its first-ever participation in the SEASAC Music Festival, held at UWCSEA East Campus.

Students represented the school across multiple ensembles, including Strings and Jazz Band, working alongside expert conductors and musicians from across Southeast Asia. After several days of rehearsals and collaboration, the festival culminated in a final concert showcasing their collective work.

This debut reflects the continued growth of RIS music and signals future opportunities for regional engagement.

Global Voices: AMIS Asian High School Honor Choir (Jeju)

📍 March 11–15, Jeju, South Korea

RIS High School students were selected to participate in the AMIS Asian High School Honor Choir, joining peers from international schools across Asia for an intensive and enriching musical experience.

Under the direction of guest conductor Maria Ellis, students engaged in several days of rehearsals, culminating in a globally broadcast concert featuring a diverse international repertoire. The experience highlighted both musical excellence and cross-cultural collaboration.

 

Collaboration in Action: Bangkok Middle School Honor Band Festival

📍 March 17, Bangkok

RIS Middle School students participated in the Bangkok Middle School Honor Band Festival at ICS, joining over 80 students from international schools across the city.

The day focused on rehearsals, collaboration, and ensemble performance, culminating in a concert for the school community. RIS students demonstrated strong preparation, teamwork, and musicianship throughout the event.

A highlight of the performance was Skygazer Fanfare, showcasing the students’ energy and ensemble cohesion.

A Program in Harmony

From early experiences in Elementary School to international stages in High School, RIS students are supported in developing their artistic abilities at every level. These March events reflect a clear and connected pathway in the performing arts—one that nurtures confidence, collaboration, and creative expression.

Guided by dedicated faculty and enriched through meaningful opportunities, the performing arts at RIS continue to grow—bringing students together through music and shared experiences both within and beyond the classroom.
